

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF TOURIST PROTECTION AND SUPPORT INSURANCE
This insurance contract undertakes to cover the costs included in the scope of COVID-19
Tourist Protection and Support Insurance within the framework of this “Special Conditions”
and Health Insurance General Terms if individuals who travel to Turkish Republic for travel
purposes but hospitalized because of accurate diagnosis of Covid-19, within the payment
limit and rates and the scope specified in the applications stipulated in the policy and the
attachments.
COVID-19 Tourist Protection and Support Insurance Health policies are only valid for
individuals between 0-65 ages.
Information specified on the policy are essential. Insurance coverage is only valid for
individuals specified in the policy and those who are not included shall not benefit from the
insurance.
- DEFINITIONS
Words, definitions, expressions and abbreviations used in this Insurance Contract have the
meanings written for them. (Following definitions are the general definitions; and the policy
scope is limited to the coverage specified in the policy.)
Policy:
The documentations signed by the insurer and delivered to the insuree/insurant and showing
the rights and debts incurred by the insurance contract between the insuree and insurer.
Pandemic Hospital:
As specified by the T.R Ministry of Health in the letter no. 14500235-403.99, hospitals which
have minimum 2 of the infection diseases and clinic microbiology, chest diseases and
internal diseases departments and have
3rd level of adult intensive care beds are
considered as Pandemic Hospital.
Pandemic Hospital: Defined as the hospital where the cases diagnosed with Covid-19
(positive test result) are treated.
Health Institution:
Pandemic organizations located in the Republic of Turkey which have been licensed by the
competent authorities of the country concerned and regularly controlled by the private sector
or provide outpatient/inpatient services.
General Terms of Insurance Contract:
The general terms of Health Insurance specified by the T.R Prime Ministry Undersecretariat
for Treasury.
Company:
Türkiye Sigorta A.Ş.
Disease:
Deterioration in physical or mental functions of the insuree which requires an intervention or
medical research by the physician.
Doctor/Medical Doctor:
The person granted with medical doctor title/certificate officially within the framework of the
applicable laws in the Geographical Region where health services are provided and allowed
to perform their profession within the boundaries of T.R by laws. Based on such special
terms, the expression of “Medical Doctor” will be hereinafter used as DOCTOR.
Exception:
Cost amount specified in the policy which is not included in the coverage/service provided by
the Insurance Company and/or that the Insuree is required attend for each event.
Insuree:
Individual whose name is specified in the insurance policy issued by the insurer and included
in the insurance scope.
Insurant:
Real or legal person who is a party to the insurance contract with the insurer and owns the
obligations arising from insurance such as payment of insurance premiums.
Family Members:
Spouse and child/ren
- GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE
This insurance contract is valid within the boundaries of Turkish Republic.
- POLICY EFFECTIVENESS PERIOD:
Effectiveness period of the policy between the policy commencement and end dates
specified on the policy,
- starts with the moment detected to enter into Turkish Republic with passport and
ends with the moment detected to depart Turkish Republic with passport.
The maximum policy period for this product is limited to 30 days.
- COVERAGES
Treatment Costs of Covid-19:
This policy covers the health expenses to be caused in all pandemic hospitals regardless of
private hospital or state hospital if the individuals visiting our country get and accurately
diagnosed with Covid-19 and hospitalized.
The coverage is applied to certain diagnosis of Covid-19 within insurance period and in the
borders of Turkey
- INSURER LIABILITIES
- Company’s liability upon any demand depends on the compliance of the insuree
who claim compensation or interest in the terms of this Policy.
- For the claim included in this scope of this policy, the insuree
- shall take all reasonable precautions to minimize the damage.
- Insuree shall provide all documents and information required to provide the
service in full and complete (Passport entry-exit photocopies, Passport front-face
photocopy, epicrisis, doctor follow-up forms, open invoice and examination results
etc.)
- In case of an illness, the Insuree shall exempt the treating physicians from the
obligation to keep patient information confidential and empower them to provide
all the evidence and information to the Company. If necessary, the insuree shall
provide free access to all medical documentation, including health information
prior to illness or injury with the doctors.
- Doctors of the company should be able to freely examine the insuree. If rejected
by the Insuree, the Company shall not be held responsible for organizing the
service and covering the costs.
- GENERAL EXCEPTIONS
This policy covers the health expenses to be caused in all pandemic hospitals regardless of
private hospital or state hospital if the individuals visiting our country get and accurately
diagnosed with Covid-19 and hospitalized.
All other health costs which might be
experienced within the boundaries of Turkish Republic, excluded from this scope shall be
excluded from the scope.
The coverage is applied to certain diagnosis of Covid-19 within insurance period and in the
borders of Turkey
Policies which are purchased following the date of entry to the T.R boundaries are invalid.
- WAITING DURATIONS
It is valid if the insuree is diagnosed with Covid-19 after entering into the boundaries of
Turkish Republic. There is not any waiting duration.
İ. COMPENSATION PAYMENTS
Invoices related to health costs are calculated in Turkish Lira at the Central Bank's Effective
Selling Rate (in the case that the currency of the relevant country does not correspond to the
Turkish currency, it is calculated over the cross exchange rate of USD correspondent
monetary unit), and covered within the limit and payment percentage specified in the policy.
Insuree is required to deliver the following information and documents to t he insurer with the
original copies so that the health costs incurred in the contractual or non-contractual health
institutions could be assessed and covered.
Insuree is liable for delivering invoices and related documents to the insurer so that their
compensation claim related to the treatments realized in a non-contractual health institution
could be covered.

If the patients stayed in intensive care before the end of the policy deadline, the treatment
shall continue for 10 days even if the policy expires.
- POLICY CANCELLATION
Policy cannot be canceled if insuree has to stop their travel and go back to their countries
because of any reason.
Policy cannot be canceled upon the demand of insuree.
- RIGHT OF RECOVERY
If the insurer makes a payment against the special and general terms of this policy because
of misinformation of the insuree or doctor, the amount shall be collected by revoked to the
insuree. If the insurer makes a payment not included min the policy coverage because of any
reason, this cannot be regarded as a vested interest by the insuree.
- NOTIFICATION
Türkiye Sigorta A.Ş. Is authorized to supply and share any information and/or documents
before T.R Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury, Health Insurance Information and
Observation Center
(SBGM), Turkish Insurance Foundation
(Turkish Insurance,
Reassurance and Retirement Companies Foundation) all health institutions and agencies
and other insurance companies and public institutions and establishments within the scope
of the legal regulations including insurance regulation, directives related to insurance, and
health regulation by making examinations.
In case any change or misinformation on any contact details, insurer shall be accepted to
fulfill their notification liability unless any written notification is made to the insurer by the
insuree/insurant.
For the notificationn, phone number or electronic mail address of any insured family member
in the policy and those of insurant should be delivered to the insurer.
In case of information lack in the contact details of the family members, the person whose
details are full and complete in the policy shall be notified and the notification shall be
accepted to be made to the other family members in the policy as well.
- INFORMATION SHARE AND SUPPLY

and other insurance companies and public institutions and establishments within the scope

- CONSENT STATEMENT
Within the scope of the health insurance contract to be made with your company, in the
capacity of the insuree/insurant, I give my consent for my personal health data, insurance
records and my health details and records to be obtained, collected, processed, updated and
periodically controlled, stored and processed by Insurance Information and Observation
Center (SBGM), Social Security Agency, T.R Ministry of Health, health institutions and
establishments, cırrent and/or other health insurance companies, medical doctors and/or all
public institutions and private institutions and establishments and third parties specified by
the regulation; and shared with the related public institutions and establishments,

persons and organizations, service providers located in Turkey or abroad in order to give
health incurance offer, realize health risk assessment and fulfill the contractual obligations
specified in the insurance contract and conclude the compansation applications.
Your personal data and private personal data which you share with us for the exeuciton and
implementation of this contract are processed under the necessary security measures by our
company in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6698 and related regulations and
transferred to the necessary authorities in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

This form has been issued based on the Notification in Insurance Contracts published on
28/10/2007 to provide general information on rights, obligations, the subject, implementation
of the contract and various important changes and developments both during the
negotiations on the insurance contract and in the continuation of the contract for the insurant
and other individuals who will benefit from the contract.

- WARNING:

- In accordance with Article 1431 of Turkish Commercial Code; The responsibility of the
insurer shall not start unless the policy premium is paid. In accordance with the Article 1434
of Turkish Commercial Code; If the policy down is not paid, the insurer shall terminate the
insurance contract. If one of the installments is not paid in due time, the insurant shall be
liable for paying the premium payables within maximum 10 days following the notification
date made by the insurer. Otherwise, the policy shall be terminated and compansations
claimed after the cancellation date shall not be covered.
- In accordance with the Article 7 of the General Terms of Insurance Contract, if the points
which might have an impact on the risk have been amended after the contract has been
entered, Insurance company should be notified.
- Insurance shall commence at 12.00 p.m in Turkey’s time zone and end 12.00 p.m when
the risk has been realized during the days specified as the commencement and deadline in
the policy unless agreed otherwise.

- COVID-19 Tourist Protection and Support Insurance Health policies are only valid for

- Insurer might demand medical examinations in order to assess the health risk of the
insuree.
- The insurance company has the right to request information and record copies of the
health history of the insuree from all doctors, health institutions and third parties who treat the
insuree before and after the insurance period. If the insuree does not agree to do so, the
insurer may choose not to pay compensation or to cancel the agreement within good
intention rules.
- Within the scope of the health insurance contract to be made with your company, in the
capacity of the insuree/insurant, I give my consent for my personal health data, insurance
records and my health details and records to be obtained, collected, processed, updated and
periodically controlled, stored and processed by Insurance Information and Observation
Center (SBGM), Social Security Agency, T.R Ministry of Health, health institutions and
establishments, current and/or other health insurance companies, medical doctors and/or all
public institutions and private institutions and establishments and third parties specified by the regulation; and shared with the related public institutions and establishments, 3rd
persons and organizations, service providers located in Turkey or abroad in order to give
health insurance offer, realize health risk assessment and fulfill the contractual obligations
specified in the insurance contract and conclude the compensation applications.
- Apart from the general terms of the insurance, the parties have the right to agree on a
special condition not to be against the law, ethics and against the insuree.

Compensation payments shall be assessed within the scope of insurance limits specified in

- In case of the realization of risk, obligation to make compensation payment belongs to the
insurance company.
- Assessment and payment terms of the health costs incurred in contractual or non-
contractual health institutions and establishments are included in the Compensation Payment
article of the special terms.
- OTHER DETAILS
Insurer is the member of arbitration system.
The Insurance Arbitration Commission has been established within the framework of Article
30 of the Law No. 5684 for the settlement of disputes arising from the insurance contract
between the insurers or the insurance arbitration system members.

Intensive care expenses are also included in our product. Once our Türkiye Sigorta provision teams are called during admission to hospital, the payment processes are initiated.

In order for a person to be admitted to a hospital or hospitalized in intensive care with the diagnosis of Covid 19 and for claim to be paid, the hospital must make a request to Türkiye Sigorta provision center. If the organization is a non-contracted pandemic hospital, then the payment is made in person.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR COVID 19 ACCOMMODATION SUPPORT INSURANCE
This insurance contract includes extra room accommodation in hotels where foreigners travelling from abroad to the Republic of Turkey stay within the borders of the Republic of Turkey, after all public pandemic hospitals report keeping them under surveillance at the hotel where they stay due to Covid-19 disease.
The certified hotels guarantee that they take all measures against the pandemic in all the segments they offer. Businesses with Safe Tourism Certificate were stated at https://tga.gov.tr/search-hotel-category. Our Ministry of Tourism has mandated that all accommodation facilities with 50 rooms and above receive “Safe Tourism” certificate with its latest regulation. Accommodation companies that are obliged to receive certificates will not be able to operate without certificates.
This policy is valid as of the beginning of the foreign tourist accommodation, provided that they stay in Safe Tourism certified hotels and any of the COVID-19 Tourist Protection Insurances have been purchased.
The maximum compensation period to be paid during the policy shall be limited to the outcome obtained by multiplying the daily hotel accommodation fee for one with 15 days and and limited to minimum 1500 £. Our product is arranged on the basis of compensation and the daily amount of compensation specified in the scope of the guarantee is paid to the insuree.
COVID-19 Accommodation Support Insurance Package is only valid for the 0-65 age range.
The information written on the policy is essential. The insurance coverage is valid only for the persons mentioned in the policy, and other persons may not benefit from the coverage.
The words, definitions, phrases and abbreviations used in the text of this insurance contract have the meanings specified in their provisions. (The definitions below are general definitions and the scope of the policy is limited to the guarantees specified on the policy.)
Policy:
It is a document signed by the insurer and given to the insuree/insurant, showing the rights and debts arising from the insurance contract of the insuree and the insurant.
General Requirements of Health Insurance:
These are the general conditions of Health Insurance determined by the Undersecretariat of Treasury of the Prime Ministry of Turkey.

It is a deterioration in the physical or mental functions of the insuree that would require intervention by a doctor or medical research.
Doctor / Medical Doctor:
Within the framework of the laws valid in the Geographical Area where healthcare is provided, this is a person who is permitted by law within the borders of the Republic of Turkey to conduct his profession or given the title/document as an official medical doctor. In these special circumstances, the term doctor of medicine shall be used as a doctor.
Exemption:
It is the amount of expenditure written in the policy that is not covered by the guarantee / service provided by the insurance company and/or that the insuree must attend for each event.
Insuree:
The insurer is the person whose name is stated in the current insurance policy issued by the insuree and is included in the insurance coverage.
This insurance contract is valid within the borders of the Republic of Turkey.
The insurance coverage starts with a accommodation at the hotel and ends with the end date of the accommodation. In case the insuree stays in quarantine within the period of accommodation is documented, the maximum amount of compensation will be paid even if the accommodation in the hotel is over. In a 7-day tour, if a surveillance decision is made on the 5th day, 13 days of compensation will be paid in case of an extra stay at the hotel for 15 days.
Premiums will be collected in advance in TL at the effective sales rate of the central bank at the date of issue of the policy.

The insurance is valid provided that Covid-19 diagnosis has been made within the borders of Turkey and within the insurance period. This policy shall be for minimum 15 days. The daily compensation fee payable might not be higher than the daily hotel room fee.
This policy is a type of policy that covers hotel accommodation costs only if those who come to our country from abroad stay in the hotel extra due to Covid 19. Besides this scope, the insuree's medical expenses outside of Covid 19 within the borders of the Republic of Turkey are not covered.
The guarantee is valid in case of a definitive diagnosis of Covid-19 within the insurance period and within the borders of Turkey.
The policies taken after the date of entrance to the Turkey shall not be valid.
- WAITING PERIODS
There is no waiting period.
The reports to be given by the Public Pandemic Hospitals of the Republic of Turkey and quarantine documents for staying at the hotel - Passport Photocopy - Hotel Accommodation Documents and Hotel Accommodation Receipt are required. The insurer might request additional document if necessary.
During the compensation payment, it shall be converted into TL over the Effective Selling Exchange Rate of Central Bank on the date of quarantine start received by the Hospital and deposited into the account of insured. (Bank costs to be born within the scope of Transfer /EFT shall be covered by the insured).
There is no cancellation of policy and no premium refunds. Policy premium shall be in cash and collected by being converted in TL over the Effective Seeling Exchange Rae of Central Bank.
In the event that the insurer makes payments contrary to the special and general conditions of the policy due to the incorrect and/or incomplete information of the insuree or the insurant, the insurer shall collect these payments by recourse to the insuree. If the insurer has made a payment that is not covered by the policy guarantee for any reason, it cannot be considered as a right earned by the insuree.
Türkiye Sigorta A.Ş is authorized to provide and share information and/or documents by making examinations at the Treasury, Health Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBGM), Turkey Insurance Association (Turkey Insurance, Reinsurance, and Pension Companies Association), all health institutions and organizations, insurance companies and Public Institutions within the framework of relevant legal regulations.
The insurer informs the insurant / insuree about the contract expiration date and renewal before the contract expires and if there is a renewal guarantee on the product, written or electronic notification to the insuree regarding the renewal guarantee and also, whether the contract is renewed or not. The insurer shall make this information based on the up-to-date contact information contained in the company records.
However, in the event that at least one of these contact information is changed or misreported, the insurer shall be deemed to have fulfilled its obligation to inform unless immediately written notification is made to the insurer by the insuree/insurant.
In addition to the address information, it is obligatory that at least one of the family members who are insured in the policy and one of the cell phone or e-mail address of the insuree should be forwarded to the insurer in order to make the information.
In cases where there is a lack of contact information of family members, notification is made to the person with full knowledge of the policy and the information is considered to have been made to other family members in the policy.
Türkiye Sigorta A.Ş is authorized to provide and share information and/or documents by making examinations at the Treasury, Health Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBGM), Turkey Insurance Association (Turkey Insurance, Reinsurance, and Pension Companies Association), all health institutions and organizations, insurance companies and Public Institutions within the framework of relevant legal regulations.

- WARNINGS
1.For more detailed information about insurance, please carefully review the general terms of Health Insurance and the specific terms of the policy to be issued by the insurer upon request.
2.In accordance with article 1431 of the Turkish Commercial Code, the liability of the insurer shall not begin unless the policy premium is paid. In accordance with article 1434 of the Turkish Commercial Code, the insurer shall terminate the insurance contract if the down payment of the policy is not paid. In the event that one of the installments is not paid in due time, the insuree is obliged to pay the premium debt within 10 days at the latest as of the date of notification made by the insurer. 4.The insurance company has the right to request information and registration copies about the health background of the insuree from all doctors, health institutions and third parties who treated the insuree before and after the insurance period. Under the insuree's goodwill rules, if he does not agree to fulfill this, the insurer may go out of its way to not pay the compensation or cancel the agreement.
